With only 13,000 residents, Lakeway offers the best of both worlds — a small-town feel with all the big-city conveniences of nearby Austin. Lakeway is about 20 minutes from the cultural, nightlife, and business districts of downtown Austin and is around 30 minutes from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

The Lakeway area is home to numerous parks and recreation areas, as well as upscale shopping and dining.

  • Lakeway area parks feature acres of outdoor recreation and miles of trails for walking, running and biking. Waterfront access for swimming and fishing are available in some parks as well as fields and courts for organized sports.
  • Hamilton Pool, a beautiful and popular nature preserve, is home to a natural swimming hole and a 50-foot waterfall.
  • Volente Beach Water Park — With water slides, a lazy lagoon, pirate ship, and more attractions, Volente Beach has something for everyone in the family.
  • Nationally renowned nearby restaurants including Hudson's on the Bend and The Oasis.
  • The Hill Country Galleria — big name retailers such as Dillard’s, Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Dick’s Sporting Goods are alongside boutique-style shops such as Chico’s and Eddie Bauer.
